Gallery Three - 2010 Guild Annual Exhibition

	The West Australian Guild of China Painters (Inc) held its Annual Exhibition on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd May, 2010 at the beautiful and historic, art-deco Guildford Town Hall, North of Perth.
	The subject of the 2010 theme was 'Connected Design' and members were invited to submit up to 5 pieces painted and displayed to create their own 'connected design'. The prize winners were as follows:

1st Prize Brenda Henderson -
'The Human Connection - It Takes All Sorts'
5 pieces featuring various scenes from the 'The Annual Village Tea party'.

2nd Prize Heather Tailor -
'Inspired by Maja'
A collection featuring 5 design pieces

3rd Prize Gloria Paxman -
'Abstract Connections'
A collection of 3 pieces featuring an abstract black lustre design.

Highly Commended Jill McPhail -
'Inspired by Victoriana'
5 pieces featuring traditional design and raised paste work.

BEST FIRST TIME EXHIBITOR
The 'First Time Exhibitor' prize was awarded for the best display by a first time entrant. The prize was awarded to: Barbara Getty for her collection 'Golden Butterflies'.

2010 PRESIDENT'S CHOICE AWARD
The President's Choice award this year was awarded to Penny Mueller, for her vase 'Lanterns & Light'.
